Canadian Venture Capital Fund & IDC

Canadian Venture Capital Fund & IDCThe Fact: Canadian Venture Capital Fund had IDC in its portfolio and IDC weighed 19.1% in its portfolio as of Dec.31, 1999. (I learnt this from National Post a few days ago) My question: The closing price of IDC at 31 Dec. 1999 was $3.08, that means IDC's weight in this fund has been doubled if the fund has not sold any IDC shares (assuming the value of the rest contents in the fund remains the same, which is a fair assumption considering the general performance of an ordinary fund :-)). If this is the case, is it possible the fund has decided to sell many of its IDC shares in order to avoiding kind of over-weight? Can anyone find out who is this fund's broker, and further investigate how many shares have been sold through this broker? thanks, and happy investing.
