RDM's (RC:TSE) e-check solution looks greatCkeck out www.xign.com
Xign is RDM’s initiative in secure digitally-signed electronic payments. The Xign initiative began with the research and technology development conducted by RDM during its participation in the Electronic Check Project. Today, RDM-Xign’s electronic payment software is used by the U.S. Treasury to issue electronic payments over the Internet. In fact, RDM’s software was used to make the first Internet payment by the U.S. Government – perhaps the first Internet payment by any Government.
RDM has been providing payment security and processing solutions since it was founded in 1987. A world leader in MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) and OCR (Optical Character Recognition), it was through its work on the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) MICR and Image standards committees that RDM became involved in the FSTC and eventually the Electronic Check Project. On that project RDM was entrusted with the key role of developing the software products to be used by the Payer (the U.S. Treasury) and by the Payees (suppliers to the Department of Defense).
By participating in the eCheck Project RDM has supplemented its 14 years of payment industry expertise with a pioneering investment in b2b eCommerce transaction research. This investment has provided RDM the intellectual capital needed to play a lead role in the evolution of transaction processing technology in the age of b2b eCommerce.
