Sirit''s comments on DSRCDedicated Short Range Communication (“DSRC”) is an emerging technology which is anticipated to improve such things as highway safety, traffic management, tolling etc. which are a key priority of the United States Department of Transportation. DSRC based systems are expected to save lives by warning drivers of impending dangerous situations. Sirit, along with Raytheon Company, Mark IV Industries, Inc. and Transcore, comprise the development team which is being funded by the United States Department of Transportation. Pilots will be taking place sometime in 2008 and into 2009.
