PSP Releases New Soldier Systems Technology for Helmets (ccnm)

KELOWNA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 8, 2008) - Pacific Safety Products Inc. (TSX VENTURE:PSP), a leader in the field of protective body armour and soldier systems equipment, announced today that is has launched a revolutionary new combat helmet impact liner (SiPSS) to protect soldiers from the brain damaging effects of blast and impact shocks to the head. The Spaceframe Improved Pad Suspension System (SiPSS) was designed for US Army and Canadian Forces helmet applications and provides up to 30% greater impact protection than the current pad inserts as well as improving helmet stability and comfort using a patented band torsion system. PSP partnered with Impact Protection research leader, Biokinetics Ltd. to develop the system through extensive testing and selection of protective materials. The PSP designs of the SiPSS liner are fully compatible to the US Advanced Combat helmet (ACH) and Canadian Forces helmets, can be installed in the field in less than 5 minutes also weighing less than available pad inserts.

"The development of this new helmet system is a result of recent technology agreements signed by PSP," stated Danny Crossman, Vice President Defence Division, Pacific Safety Products Inc. "The SiPSS liner is the latest innovation in head impact protection and opens the door for PSP to participate in major Canadian and US Military defence programs over the next 12 months."

PSP will be displaying its body armour, helmet systems and electronic products at the 2008 CANSEC Exhibition, April 9-10 at the Ottawa Convention Center in Ontario, Canada. Attendees are invited to visit Pacific Safety Products booth #806 to view solutions and speak with company executives.
