RE: Tight Hole Status...Thanks cuzinjake with the summary of Tight Hole Status. The key is the operator or the lease holder controls the vital information, the rest is common knowledge within seconds of the next info bite on the drilling rig floor. IMO there are some pretty sharp rig workers, and know a lot more than they let on to the management for various reasons. Beyond the drilling rig crew, with the amount of surveillance and electronic gadgets, there is very little really held back because of Tight Hole Status. It does provide a challenge for those seeking the information, but there are some individuals seek out those challenges and make it their business to be in the know or sell it to the highest bidder, and IMO it is much like an auction sale.

I took the new ID pic in Feb/07 at around 2:20 PM showing a sunset at the beginning of the treeline in Nunavit. I was about 2.5 hours sled ride from home base and -28C at the time.
