He didnt say they would produce 500 thousand tonnes in 2008, he said they would start production at that rate in the end of 2008. That was the most that trucking could handle in absence of the line. Once the rail line was in, he said they could ramp production up to a 2 million tonne / year rate. Following that, a possible ramp up to 2 million to 5 million tonnes a year if they expand the plant etc.
It does not sound like they are fast tracking the rail line overly fast as he said when they open in the end of the year they will be producing at the no rail line rate. I was hoping from what Java said that the rail deal (that we do not have yet) would get the line in faster.
