RE: TakeoverI think you oversimplify the valuation Short. You have to factor in the cost of getting the ore out of the ground.
    Also, I think that as the price of gold increases so does the likelihood of political threats. By this I mean that unstable foreign governments - who were happy to have mining companies come in a prospect, become resentful when they see the results grow.
    For that reason, I think there is a premium for gold producers whose mines are in stable countries like Canada and to a lesser extent, Mexico. Africa is a different matter though.
    Thus, I see WGO being given close scrutiny. Good luck anyway.
