People are missing the IMPORTANT point.

People are missing the IMPORTANT point. In the oil and gas industry, when  the company or country that is in charge  of the drilling decide that they don't want any of the other patners to give out press releases on what is being uncovered during the drilling, the declair the drilling to be a tight hole. There is ONLY ONE REASON why a company or country decide to make a drilling site a tight hole. It is because preliminary indications, or pre-drilling workup indicate that they are going to have a monster find. A company declares a tight hole status because they don't want other companies to  start buying the adjacent land before they can buy it , plus they don't want the price of buying the land to increase before they put in their bid. A country doesn't want information to leak, because they want to increase the price that companies have  to pay to buy a section of land, and the bigger the strike the more they can charge for people that want to buy adjacent properties. So by stating that this is a tight hole means that they beleive  that it is going to be  a  monster find.
