All Out

All Out

Well I sold all of my very small amount of shares (2000 shares) on Friday right at closing for .45.  I held it about 1-2 weeks after having bought it at 0.385….the day it started declining….the day after the highs in the 40s.  Well I could have waited another day, bought it at .30, or even at .35, and then still sold it at .45; but that’s not what I did, and hindsight critiques never helped anyone.

This morning I used those funds (very tiny amount of money so not really a fund) to buy PCQ at 1.29 a few minutes after opening.  Yes I overpaid a little but I am sure there are people who bought it at the highs like 1.8, or people who bought XT today at market opening price…only to see it plummet.  That I think is much sillier.  Well the PCQ thing seems similar to the MTX situation.  Pending news…I buy low, it goes lower and lower and lower right after I get filled….and then one day it spikes and I sell (maybe a few days to weeks later).  The point is that with patience gains will come eventually, and small gains are better than no gains!

Disclaimer:  I also currently have 1000 shares of J.A.G. Ltee (Les Mines) (JML) bought at 0.74 early last week just as the price was starting to decline from 80s range.  I think I will try selling those as soon as it spikes because I overpaid for those too.  Good picks, tricky timing.
