Trade WatchersDon't forget that there are many investors who react to a significant change in the trading patterns of stocks they follow regularly without even knowing what is happening with the stock. I must admit to being one of those types.  Some brokers software allows investors to set up filters to warn you about unusual changes in anything of your choice like significant change in stock price or volume.

Strong buying by others gives confidence or signals others to follow suit - especially when news is near. It's a gamble that the news release is going to be good so they buy without knowing for sure what they news will be.
