Of the companies you mention, I can't comment about SLT and CAJ.  But if you're suggesting that NAG isn't serious about their intent to explore for a whole whack of coal, then you'd better think again.  From a management point of view, I know for a fact that you don't make an effort to go and recruit a couple of the most highly regarded experts in their chosen field (namely coal exploration and ming) just so that you can 'dream about things'.

You've got to have a serious potential for success to attract these sorts of people.  Especially Johnson.  There's no disputing that this guy's had a very long and accomplished career.  And now he's approaching the twilight of that career.  I'm familiar with successful individuals in that same situation, and they've all had the common desire to wind down their careers on a succesful note.  To 'leave a legacy' so to speak.

NAG's done very well to bring these guys on board.  I'm sure Johnson in particular will be doing his best in order to leave the stamp of his name on what seems likely to become one of the biggest coal discoveries in Canadian history.  The simple fact that NAG has been able to secure him is a brilliant move.  It effectively takes him off the playing field.

Other companies should be so lucky as to have talent and expertise like that.  Their loss is NAG's gain.
