RE: Canada wireless auction to end "shortly": goveI believe 4G can only happen on the 2500/2600 ghz bands and in Canadathat band is all owned by Look and Innukshuk (Rogers, Bell).
Partly correct.. It will most likely happen on 2.5-2.7 range with Wimax. But it is being rolled out in 3.5 Mhz range as well. A company that owns parts of that band is publicly traded T.VCM
Also Craig wireless owns parts of the 2.6 spectrum out west and parts of spectrum still has not been auctioned.
The 700 range will probably roll with 4G as well in U.S.
Guys this
stock is worth $10/share!!
I wish but not likely. If you were to take the Block B bids (208b and 205b)
This would give you a combined value of 447M * 3 (60 Mhz equivalent) = 1.3 Billion
Less a 20% discount. Guessitmate for such a large block, and if the spectrum were converted 1/3 more would be on the market for other bidders to utilize
~ 1 Billion. Less discount for spectrum not being readily available, needs industry Canada approve and we know how fast they are.
So I figure about $900 Millionon spectrum value. divided by 200M shares fully diluted of LOK and LOK.A
LCI spectrum worth of ~
$4.50 per share alone. + tv rights, tax loss being other major assets.
- if one of the big 3 telus/bell/rogers were to want it they would probably pay a higher price...
