You could be right but the idea is to sew doubt in the minds of retail investors who have significant gains in the stock and who often react emotionally.

Assuming he is paid by one or more fund managers who are trying to accumulate shares over a period of time, they must see value in his efforts or he wouldn't still be here. Personally, I can't see any other reasonable explanation for it.
