RE: Filpke' Wins. (OFF Topic)TORONTO -- Not Bourbon held off a spirited challenge from filly Ginger Brew to capture the 149th running of the C$1-million Queen's Plate at Woodbine Racetrack on Sunday.
The win was a record-tying eighth for trainer Roger Attfield.
Not Bourbon's win earned owner Charles Fipke the
$600,000 top prize on a breezy, cloudy afternoon.
Not Bourbon finished the 1 1/4-mile race in an unofficial time of 2:03.59.
Solitaire was third.
The field was reduced to 14 horses with Harvest Home being a scratch earlier in the day. Also, Jim McAleney rode Jungle Brew on Sunday after Eibar Coa suffered a rib injury Friday at Belmont Park.

Personally I prefer the Brazilian ROCKS...... not sure why....there just seams to be something with Brazil that keeps calling me and draws my UNDIVIDED attention.
