Amerix Reports High Grade Gold Results from the Auger DrillingProgram and Further Diamond Drill Results from Vila Porto Rico, Brazil
Toronto, Ontario CANADA, May 21, 2008 /FSC/ - Amerix Precious MetalsCorp. (APM - TSX Venture, NJG - FWB), is pleased to report encouragingresults from the augering and the recently completed diamond drillingprogram at its gold mining prospect Vila Porto Rico (VPR), located inthe Tapajos gold province, Brazil. Thirty nine (39) mechanized augerholes and an additional 714 one-meter hand-auger holes have beencompleted. Assays from 22 mechanized auger holes show 11 of the holesintersected oxide gold mineralization ranging from 4 to 15 meters inthickness, including one hole with 15 meters of 14.48 g/t Au andanother with 15 meters of 3.67 g/t Au. Complete assays are also nowavailable for 4 diamond drill holes and partial assays are availablefor 2 diamond drill holes from the drilling program completed in lateFebruary 2008.
Mechanized auger holes were drilled in the Ouro Roxo North and Southareas. The mechanized auger holes range in depth from 9 to 21 meters. The purpose of the mechanized auger drilling is to define and extendthe known surface mineralization both laterally and down dip. Resultshave confirmed that the mineralization dips and thickens to the eastand southeast. The auger program is ongoing and a second auger has beenpurchased to advance the program. The following table includessignificant assays from the mechanized auger drilling.

Detailed grid mapping and geochemical sampling has recently beencompleted over the Ouro Roxo North and South areas. The recentlycompleted grid work consisted of detail mapping of more than 13,900meters of grid lines and the collection of the 714 one-meter hand augersamples. Grid lines are spaced at 100 meters with sampling interval of20 meters. This project is ongoing, and includes collecting ofadditional one-meter hand auger samples. Results from the program arepending and anomalies will be followed up by further detailed handauger sampling and mechanized auger drilling.
The following table includes the assays from diamond-drill holes inOuro Roxo North (AORN) and Middle (AORM) areas. All diamond drill holeswere oriented to the west. As noted in the company's March 25, 2008news release, new structural interpretation and modeling show thatholes drilled prior to AORN-83 may not have been oriented in theoptimal drilling direction.

Quality assurance/quality control
Diamond drilling operations were conducted by GEOSOL and Kluaneunder the direct guidance and supervision of Amerix geologists andmanagement. All cores were split and described at the Amerix fieldcamps near the drill sites. Chemical analyses were performed by SGSLakefield/Geosol of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, an ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO9002 certified assayer. Core samples from the diamond drill program andthe auger-drill sampling programs maintain quality control usingstandards, blanks, and duplicates.
