RE: $1.75.....up 23 cents"lots of insider buying based on eleonore south..the exchange should halt this stock and give the average investor a chance to see the news before those less privleaged."
insider buying does not always mean that directors, or those people listed as greater than 10% of the company, are insiders. i refer to ANY purchasers that have *inside* knowledge of information not known to the general public as insiders. this could be diamond drillers or other exploration personnel privy or aware of information from being at the site, having access to view drill core, assays, etc. it could also be word of mouth from people that have knowledge of significant news.....rumours spread fast and feed upon itself. it is almost impossible to keep this information completely tight lipped since there are too many variables to monitor, despite best efforts. it is a very rare case that companies halt or release news without having a rush of trading (buying) prior to big news. i can think of many examples where exchanges have halted stock based on a significant rise prior to forcing companies to release news.
trading like we saw this morning was indicative of *insiders* accumulating the stock after which time they had accumulated what they wanted at the price they would pay, and then profit taking by others brought the share price back. the buyers still own the stock and we will see another runup again until news is released or the VSE gets their act together and forces them to release a statement explaining the recent activity in share price.
there is no doubt in my mind the activity is related to eleonore south assays and i believe this will be proven once results appear this week. if they are as good as i suspect they are then we should see a major breakout away from this level to the $3 range.
