RE: Pasquia HillsThe Pasqua Hills are a depositional feature. They represent glacial droppings that simply haven't eroded like the surrounding area. For that reason the overburden is most assuredly greater . This doesn't mean that the coal bed/seam doesn't trend closer to the surface as you move more NW . But any variation of the angle of the coal bed is not likely to compensate for the additional overburden in place. PWU8 posted a list of the depth of coal finds a long time ago and while GXS was in the first category for shallowness ( 0-100 m ? ) it would only mean that WGF is likely in the second/and or 3rd category for shallowness. Still quite profitable to mine if the value/tonne is comparable to Alberta coal of similar grade that is around $40-50/tonne. This might also explain why WGF has suggested that they are going to start a drill program of 5,000 m. That would be around 40 holes on GXS' property but maybe only 20 holes on WGF's property. Not all of WGF's property is in the Pasqua Hills as they have some just south of GXS.
