SOMETHING VERY FISHY HERE
SOMETHING VERY FISHY HEREThe trading pattern here is very fishy. There is something illegal going on here. I suspect that PAN is being manipulated down but not as a simple legal short trade. There seems to be either an illegal naked short or a concerted effort to drive the stock down for a purpose or both. This is either to reach a price level in order to enable "someone" who wants in to buy or force a private placement at advantageous terms or simply to illegally enrich themselves at the detriment of others. There are other possibilities of malicious intent but let's not go there yet. This is very similar to what has been going on in the junior mining sector and it seems that the perpetrators have either expanded their activities or emulated them.
Either way the game will soon be over fo them. The process is already in motion.
In the meantime the thing to do is to hold on to the stock even if the price drops further or if possible buy more at lower levels. If their intent is to profit from the shorting then drying up the liquidity on them will kill them when they try to cover.
PAN doesn't need more capital for now but should it have to raise funds in the future then the fairest way would be to proceed with a rights issue to existing shareholders. This precludes and derails the vultures, builds trust and rewards faithfulness.
Management should be made aware of this.
Finally let us not forget the compelling fundamentals. PAN has one of the highest gas-in-place resources anywhere. It has Bakken acreage and other exciting possibilities like Preeceville. The technology is advancing in leaps and bounds. Price are on an uptrend, will continue and may even shock the most optimistic forecasters, especially for North American natural gas. A few years back I ran some numbers on various commodities to determine their upside potential and generate some minimum targets. Some, like copper, have already been fulfilled (and that doesn't mean that they can't rise further ), but 2 still have a ways to go. The first is Silver. The second is Natural Gas. My target is over $50. Now you know.
