Something wierd with short position

Something wierd with short positionNot sure if its me but something strange with Osisko's reported short position.  Northern Miner shows short position for Osisko at end of June 30th back up to 4,610,841 shares.  There was an increase from June 15 to June 30 in the amount of 4,600,841 shorted shares.  However if I look at the total volume of activity during this timeframe the volume is only a couple of million shares.  How is this possible?  By the same token in the period from June 1 to June 15 the Northern Miner had shown a decrease in the short position by 4.2 million shares declining to only 10,000 shorted shares at June 15.  But if you look at total volume traded during this period considerably less than 4.2 million.

Confused
