protestors Go AwayOne factor for the poor share price performance is of course the market trend. Another small contributing factor may be the local opposition to EFR mining and the building of a mill in their territory. This is certainly understandable and expected. But I would like to send a message to those local people who may be protesting EFR’s progress and development.
In order for any local protestors to not be labeled a hypocrite, they must live in homes with no electrical service. They cannot justify opposing the reopening of a uranium mine whose product is used to produce electricity while at the same time consuming electricity. Electricity that may have been generated from a nuclear reactor.
America draws much of its energy supplies from other nations. These nations accumulate obscene wealth from America’s energy consumption. In many cases, it is America’s money that is used to fund terrorism that is inflicted upon Americans.
America must develop its own domestic energy sources. It must not be so dependent on other nations and must support its own economy and reliance. This is done through projects and companies such as EFR. The displacement and sacrifice of a few small communities must not take precedence over the benefit of the entire nation.
American soldiers are in the Middle East fighting for America with their lives, as they have done for decades. Yet, a group of people living in the surrounding area of EFR’s mines will not make a sacrifice and accommodate the mines for the greater good of their nation and the world.
If protesters want to protest something, I ask that they do it for the sake and benefit of others, not for their own self-serving, selfish reasons.
