Total Energy Group in Iran

Total Energy Group in Iran

"French energy group Total (TOTF.PA: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) will not

invest in Iran because the political risk is too high, the company's chief executive
Christophe de Margerie told the Financial Times. "Today we would be taking too much
political risk to invest in Iran because people will say: 'Total will do anything for
money'," the FT quoted Margerie as saying. For more double click on [ID:nL10682890]"

My thought on this: How come that a Co. like Total or Exxon etc... are willing to invest
in unstable countries, when they have BUK in UK? Iran is unstable since decades.

Personally, I would never invest in an exploration co. that search for gas, oil or gold
in politicly unstable area. It's already hard and expensive to search for oil and gas,
and then struggle with the government who want to take the well back from you, once
you have done a finding. No Way!

Second, I think BUK is a good target for an IPO, from Total Group, Chevron...etc.
Isn't it?

Go BUK Go!
