RE: LARGE INCREASE IN GOLD ETF!

RE: LARGE INCREASE IN GOLD ETF!shortUSA2,

I don't have the links, but I do remember off the top of my head that at least two of the main perspectives at GATA about the ETFs were formed by the work of James Turk (GATA board member) and, later, by David Morgan (general supporter).  James Turk has published articles a couple of times at his GoldMoney.com website about the ETFs and if you go though the archives, you can find them.  His general argument focused on the wording the ETF sponsors used to describe what is and is not metal holdings, and how the ETF builds-in flexibility to not hold metal from time to time (again, I'm doing this strickly by memory so do find the original articles).

He also questions the audits and other issues.  Morgan pretty much came to the same conclusions.  About two years ago, Morgan actually asked Turk to take a look at GLD and that's where the intial work started.
