volumes have dried up

volumes have dried upGold and silver seem to have broken back up, and Intrepid has gone into hibernation.  Volumes on ASX and TSX have dried up to a trickle.  Sellers getting bent over a sink if they have a pressing need to sell, but buyers are on vacation.  Really rather odd.  It's been like this since the middle of last week.  Could be like this until news or the quarterly results come out.
