CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST 
Intended for the mining of IRON DEPOSITS
of SOALALA Zone
Regions of Boeny and Melaky
(Centre Western Madagascar)
Complying with decree N°.13.015..dated 21 mai. 2008 which has released certain mining squares which have been previously notified as constituting a temporary reserved zone established by decree N°19195/2005 dated December 12, 2005 and decree N°1296/2006 dated January 30, 2006,

In prospect to delivery mining licenses relative to certain mining squares which are part of the temporary reserved zone further to a national and international tenders,
Bureau du Cadastre Minier de Madagascar (BCMM : Mining Cadastral Office of Madagascar) calls for national and international expressions of interest for mining iron deposits within Soalala Zone, Centre Western Madagascar.

The technical specifications of the mining squares, subjects of this request, and their coordinates are available at the BCMM office and on the websites of Ministry of Energy and Mines (www.mem.gov.mg) and of PGRM (www.pgrm.mg). The list of companies which will be admitted to submit offers will be posted on these websites when the rating qualification following this request for interests will been established.

Eligibility criteria:

- Interested companies should justify their financial and technical capability to fulfil according to the rules any works for the iron mines development and for iron ore process;

- All candidates should access to BCMM's criteria of eligibility in respect to the stipulations of the Malagasy Mining Code;

Complying with the above conditions and for the need of the evaluation, candidates should file with BCMM a letter expressing their interest, together with:
1) General information concerning the Tenderer /Company
         * Nationality 
         * Corporate name
         * Creation date
         * Authorized capital amount
         * Name of the majority shareholders

 2) A brief description of their international experiences (references required) as regards:
* Development of iron mines, 
* Iron ore processing and transformation,
* And all other useful information justifying their capacities to invest and the know-how mobilisation in case of a similar integrated project

3) In due form representative mandate of the signatory of the expressions of interest 

4) The candidates should submit a brief description of the studies and works that they expect to carry out and their prospects considered.

The relevant documents should be presented in sealed envelope with mention:

The public bid opening will be done at the BCMM office at the same date and immediately after the closing time for documents receiving.

Digital documents for expressions of interest will not be accepted.

Pre-selected candidates will be invited to submit a technical and financial tender as per specifications, for the mining of the iron deposits of the Soalala zone, Region of Boeny and Melaky.
