RE: My thoughtsI agree that the collapse in the base metal component of their revenue tends to get overlooked. Zinc is almost a non factor but the decline in lead will see roughly a 40% decrease in that portion of the revenue, which translates to about a 20% decrease in total revenue for SVM (assuming production stays at the same level which it won't). A substantial decline in the stock price was warranted to account for the upcoming reduced profit margin. However, after bottoming below $5.00 (I hope) we saw several days where silver, lead and zinc all had great percentage gains in combination with significant strength in the HUI, GDX etc. During this time SVM was flat and more often down. In light of the heavy buying undertaken in the open market by SVM recently and the recovery in the relevant metal prices, I find it more than a little suspicious that we are mere pennies away from a 52 week low. The price action in SVM, particularly in the last two weeks has been very much at odds with the direction of its fundamentals. The initial decline had legitimate reasons for happening, but more recently I have to conclude that this stock is currently infested with crooks.
