Exploration Puma: More Holes Intersect the New Lens Between the Shaft and Hache Lenses

RIMOUSKI, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Aug.13, 2008) - Three additional holes drilled by Exploration Puma (TSXVENTURE:PUM) have intersected the new lens between the Shaft and Hachelenses on Puma's Nicholas-Denys property, in New Brunswick. The threeholes cut the mineralized lens at a vertical depth of 250 metres, withthe following respective results: 149 g/t Ag, 4.3% Zn, and 3.8% Pb over4.9 metres, 63 g/t Ag, 3.1% Zn, and 3.8% Pb over 4.0 metres, and 227g/t Ag, 1.8% Zn, and1.3% Pb over 1.7 metres.

In all, seven deep holes have now intersected the new mineralizedlens between the Shaft and Hache lenses (press release of 12/06/2008).The holes have enabled the mineralization to be traced over a distanceof 150 metres, thereby confirming the continuity of the mineralizedzone in the Shaft area over a distance of more then 650 metres. In thenew lens, the deepest hole intersected the target at a vertical depthof 400 metres. The mineralization remains open at depth; the verticalextent of the new lens is as yet unknown.

The results received from the seven (7) holes demonstrate the scaleof the discovery, with significant grades over ten-metre lengths ofcore.

Current Program

Since the beginning of 2008, 78 holes have been drilled in thevicinity of the Hache and Shaft lenses, for a total advance of 18,592metres. The drill program has been temporarily suspended because of thenew discoveries, to allow for the proper compilation and interpretationof results from the 10,115 samples that have been collected. A magneticsurvey is in progress in the area between the Henry and Hache lenses,to better define new targets for drilling.
