RE: 100.000 Shares...I went into the earnings announcement seriously over-weight VNP. Like everyone, I thought if the news was good, we'd see a pop. Then the news was great.... and we got nothing. I'm pissed at the market but I haven't sold a single share. The numbers tell me it should be trading $11+ right now, depending on the multiple you want to assign. So I'll be holding til reason returns.
Yes, Nat Bank was the chief underwriter for both financings. And while they seem to be depressing the sp, I can't, for the life of me, figure out how they stand to benefit financially. If they still have inventory (from the IPO or the pp), they'd want the price to rise, wouldn't they? If they've sold out, and hope to rebuild a position by keeping the price low, they're playing a very dangerous game. I just can't see it. The only other possibility is some sort of collusion with a third party, but I think that would be illegal.
What do you think?
