A Coined Revue:Coin, How could you know these things unless you were......OK, fair enough, I'll hold up my part of the bargain. I'm an honest guy.
The truth is that I'm an individual investor, and not an insider as I keep being accused of. I think the last time I was in Denver was roughly 6 (?) years ago, visiting Rocky Mountain National Park with my family. I haven't worked a "regular" job in almost a decade, having made some good investments and become financially independent years ago. I now manage my personal investments out of my home office, and have a huge fountain and palm trees outside my window. (that's how I dreamed up the name coin_in_fountain) I also talk to other investors of this stock, and a lot of people know me.
I think the reason so many people accuse me of being an insider is because I know so much about the company, and have been following it longer and harder than most professional analysts. (Yes, I have talked to the Evergreen IR guys in the past. They're sometimes a great source of additional information, and they know I strongly support them.) The vast majority of the time I post public links along with the information I find, but not always. Sometimes I like to tease you bashers, because it feeds my ego seeing you guys really believe that I'm an insider because I know so much.
Now I don't expect you to believe that immediately, but let me start to prove it to you. For example, look at that blog I posted last night about Greencert. You really thought I walked down the hall and got it from one of the C-Lock guys, now didn't you? Well, here is the public link for it that I purposely hid from you:
https://greenmonk.net/?p=132
So now I caught you completely off guard, right? Your imagination has been running so wild that you really did believe I got that information directly from somebody within Evergreen. Don't feel bad, Darth Vader and the rest of the Dark Side also seems to have the same false illusion.
My motivation for posting so much positive information is simple, and I've said it before: I'm a stockholder! When this thing finally squeezes, and it will, I'm going to make a lot of money. In the meantime, the lower it goes, the more I buy. It always takes real guts to make serious money. I've even posted at least one of my purchase transactions on the public message boards to prove I'm long, but few of the bashers ever believe me. They're too inflexible in their thinking, and will do or say anything, even outright lie, to try and kill this company.
Sometimes I think it would be in my own best self interest to just let you guys help drive this thing down more, so I can buy more at a lower price. But then my patriotic side kicks in. It really bugs me to see bashers trying to kill a company that is trying hard to help clean up the air that OUR kids inhale everyday. (My own kid has asthma, and we can only speculate that local coal burning power plants have something to do with it.) Even if you would never invest in this specific company, you've got to admit that their goal of cleaning up the air is a noble one. So, the more you bash, the more I feel compelled to highlight the many positive aspects of this company that are so often ignored. If the bashers would just tone it down, I would probably also.
One other thing really bugs me about all the bashing. Although the bashers certainly can't be held responsible for the huge stock price decline, they certainly deserve some of the responsibility. (We could argue all day about the magnitude of that effect, but probably never reach an agreement.). Now look at what recently happened with that Ohio Teacher's Retirement Fund, or whatever they call themselves. The stock sank so low their trustee had to bail out. Those are honest and good working citizens, and anybody who unfairly bashes this stock is hurting decent citizens just trying to realize a normal retirement. I don't see how anybody could possibly feel good about that. Some day the bashers are going to have to explain their actions to St. Peter at the entrance to the Pearly Gates.
In my heart I really do believe this company has a bright future. The past plant design problems have been maddening, but when you're working on the cutting edge of technology, that kind of thing can happen. Now it seems like Evergreen is just about ready to announce a big new plant deal, and when it happens, we're all going to witness a stock squeeze of biblical proportions.
