RE: LiarvegasActually, rumors on stockhouse and other message boards do have an effect on share price. There are forum scams all over the place. If 300 people read a post, and 50 of them act on a rumor, then you have 50 people bidding for the same chunk of shares. Out of 50 of those people, an easy 40 of them are brainless sheep that will throw all their money blindly at a stock, and at market value to boot....since they don't want to miss that famous rocket ship on its way to the moon! Who cares about trading based on fundamentals or technical analysis when you can trade by the seat of your pants like the average person on stockhouse does!!! LOL. Buy first, ask stupid questions on the forums later! Even If every one of those 50 people averaged just 10,000 shares each.....we are talking 500,000 shares being grabbed up on a panic buying spree. That's enough to run PEP 10 or 15 cents easy, especially first thing in the morning before the asks have a chance to stack up. Gee, did we see that recently? Wasn't it first thing this past Monday morning after all the conehead pumpers spewed their crap on the boards for a solid weekend that we saw that big runup into the high .60s?
If you don't believe forum rumors have an affect on share price, then you haven't been exposed to the entire game of the penny stock! There is an entire sewer system of such activity underneath the streets for any stock. If you choose to remain blind to the idea thats your call.
You're neglecting the waves of brainless guppies that swim from tank to tank treating their investments like a lotto 649 ticket. They keep their wallets wide open and half-hanging out of their pockets for anybody to pick-pocket. Rumors not coming to fruition?....a little slow on news?.....the guppies are getting scared out! Maybe they got sucked up in the filter?...maybe they're off playing company XYZ, or whatever else looks fancy for the quick instant gratification.
Maybe some of them got duped into jumping out of PEP and into NGM on those lame assay results that were getting pumped all over! The next ARU according to one pumper! ...(and waves of monkeys fly out of my keester!)......but its talk like that which entices most of the knuckledraggers who frequent the forums to jump blindly into a company.
Ride the hype and bag profits. leave the pipe dreams for the "longs", and bagholders turned into "longs".
