RE: Michigan Governor: "terrible place for a mine”Uranium77
Here is your latest post...
THE LONGEST TERM GOVERNOR MICHIGAN EVER HAD WAS WILLIAM MILLIKEN. HE IS 100% AGAINST MINING SULFIDE ORE - LIKE AQUILA'S DEPOSIT. SO IS REPRESENATIVE BART STUPAK.... AND MANY OTHERS.. THE MAJORITY IN FACT..
TREATY RIGHTS - YOU KNOW HOW TO READ? PLAN ON SPENDING A COUPLE YEARS OF YOUR LIFE READING ALL THE TREATIES THAT IMPACT KENNECOTT - AND AQUILA... WHY DO YOU THINK THERE'S NATIVE AMERICAN CASINOS? NATIVE AMERICAN FISHING, HUNTING? EVER HEAR ABOUT THE LAWSUIT THATS PENDING - ALL LAND THAT WAS NOT HOMESTEADED IN MICHIGAN - MEANING HOUSE, IMPROVEMENTS, ETC - REVERT BACK TO NATIVE AMERICANS.
THIS ONE WILL SET YOU OFF - TREATY RIGHTS AND LAW THAT SAYS YOU CAN'T DISTURB NATIVE BURIAL GROUNDS......................
He was the Governor, but he is not now. Has been hired by a special interest group to push their case against Kenncott? BTW, please see my earlier post - I can find no proof of this man's assertion that Kennecott's permit has been revoked. Do you have any such evidence?
Can you please give me the name of the treaty or treaties that could hold up AQA? While I am intimately familiar with the treaties signed in Canada, having read all the major ones, I would appreciate an opportunity to look up what any American treaties that may cover the area actually say.
I should add that I would find it exceptionally strange if the US treaties allowed Native Americans to keep the resource rights to the land that they surrendered - the whole point of signing treaties was to get Native Americans to surrender those very rights. Again, I would like to read the treaty or treaties themselves to make sure. If you simply don't know what treaties may exist, it would be helpful if you just stated that.
And so, in a salute to full disclosure and transparency, you own how many shares of AQA...??? Yes, I can be humourous as well.
Cheers,
