RE: Price effect of holding DGC through a "shell"
RE: Price effect of holding DGC through a "shell"DGC is a Mining company. The rampup to production, and costs associated, you would be lucky to see a dividend in the first 5 years, from the start of production. What 7 years from now. The tax implications depend on which side of the border you invest in.
"Pelangio obtained an advance tax ruling from the Canada Revenue Agency (the "CRA") in respect of the Arrangement on August 20, 2008, which provides that the Arrangement will qualify as a tax deferred transaction to shareholders under the "butterfly" reorganization rules in the Income Tax Act (Canada)."
The head of the HDI group, which DGC is a small part, has been spending his money on a profitable copper producer that has a 10 million oz. AU and 3 billion lbs, already proven in the HDI stable. You think DGC is undervalued?
