Hedging Contracts

Hedging ContractsCan anybody pls explain how these contracts negatively affected DEE?  I see they have some contacts out to Nov 2009 at prices between approx $7.50 and $8.50 (average).  Their Q2 results indicate a loss of $3.2 million due to these hedges.  Is this just a result of lost revenue b/c GAS was higher during the quarter or was this an actual loss on the balance sheet?  If natural gas trends higher over the next 12-18 months how will the affect the company?
