Why?  I thought that was obvious on the surface.  Management, Management,, Management.

However, if one digs deeper, one can find reasons related to those first three.

I'm optimistic now.  When I first started loading up my position years ago I thought this stock couldn't fail barring some extreme mistakes being made.  And some were.  My optimism dimmed.  I was still hopeful though.  Then things I was hearing did not materialize.  Made me nervous. (this is over the past few years).

I really not like the interm management, they were definitely not people friendly.  Then the board members put together a STRONG management team.  These guys work long hours, and they all are very experienced, optismistic and talented.  Plus the credit markets are slowly improving.

There is money out there.  A lot of cash on the sidelines waiting for good opportunity with the right guys at the helm.

Take a look at what Adanac was 2-3 years ago.  An A+ project, with (what I later figured out) a poor management team.  Then you look at TCM (formerly Blue Pearl) who have a ski resort right beside their property.  Yet somehow  their management figured out a way to structure a deal with Thompson Creek Minerals and become a large cap company.  The property at Davidson was and still is a D property.  C- if you are optimistic about it.  I bet it will take years if ever to see the light of day.  HOWEVER, somehow they got a deal together and their stock went up many, many multiples.  That should have been Adanac, but the skill of the management team at the time couldn't put that deal together.

This shows you how important managment can be.  So now we have A management and an A+ project (IMHO) so I really don't see how this can do anything but succeed.
