Based on the article, this sounds different than a typical coal bed methane operation in North America.  Sounds like they are just going to seal the mine and extract the gas that is already being vented into the atmosphere. 

Typically with coal bed methane, they drill lots of wells into the middle of the coal seam and extract the methane directly from the seam.  Water production is typically a problem as well as water disposal. 

No mention about the economics of the deal.  How much gas is going to be produced, what price will they get for the electricity and how does that translate into revs for Saxon?
