RE: Canonball

RE: CanonballNorthyorktrader...now to give you an answer... one would have to know both the out come of an election and a market ...and the way the TSX is behaving now ...charts don't work, reason doesn't work... maybe I'll try  Tarot cards or look at my Horoscope...?

Basically unless there is some really compelling reason for some of the Big Five Canadian Banks to merge and there isn't  any reason... just yet... as none of them are that bad off... I don't see mergers happening no matter what government is in power.  So the SP for BMO will go up on improved earnings and less or no further write downs... its that simple...but when that happens... and it will, BMO, or CM, or RY,  any of them will move VERY BIG VERY FAST.

As far as a new government ...one of two things is going to happen the Conservatives get a thin majority... or we are back into a minority government and this election was a useless an expensive exercise.

I just pray the backroom dealing, good-old boy, pork barreling Liberals, don't get back in...Canadians can't  forget this quickly... all the expensive blunders and stealing the Liberals have done... from over priced meals and expense accounts deputy ministers got away with ....to the billions misspent on the gun registry commuter system that never did get fixed.... to the sponsor ship and Helicopter deal cancelation which cost millions and we ended up buying the very same Helicopters later at more expense anyway... etc etc. etc the list is very long.

The Liberals are crooks and God help us all... if they get back in.  I simply can't see their appeal it's...amazing!

The only Govenment that has come into power and CUT TAXES and GST in all the time I have been an adult in Canada has been this recent one ...period.  And the Liberals first thing out of their mouth OH we plan on a carbon tax!!!

And yes I am an Albertan... but I just hope Eastern Canadians start to get wise. ..Enough of the politics...sorry for the rant...

What might happen is Canadian Banks are going to go shopping for cheap US opportunities...now that is a possibility... already there are vultures from around the world circling in... just watch.

And I am staying put in my two Canadian Banks BMO and CM  at 9000.00 + Dividend every three months there is no reason I am ever going to sell and maybe more reasons to even buy...!

Good luck Northyorktrader
