RE: Buy, hold, and relax.during a STOCK MARKET CRA1. You don't lose money until you sell.
2. Haven't you ever heard that the best time to buy is when there's blood in the streets?
3. I'm trying to buy stocks that I will own a LONG time.  To paraphrase something I read the other day, the only reasons to sell are either you need the money, or you no longer believe in capitalism.  Either equities (good companies) offer the best return long term, or the very foundation of our economy doesn't make sense.
4. The market will defy efforts to make a quick buck, (although occasionally people get lucky).  If you think you are "smarter" than the market, you're kidding yourself.
