RE: How did I know?

RE: How did I know?Hi SC,

How did I know VMS would take a beating?

- Because the US Mortgage fiasco that started August 07 was bound to rear its ugly head again and to a larger degree (although the scope of which has left most people in utter disbelief - myself included).
- Because copper being is an indusrial metal would get hammered harder than the PM's - especially with the US housing crisis - although I believe this to be short term
- Because VMS wasn't making SP headway in spite of releasing amazing results

How did I know it would hit at or near $0.35?  Simple - I didn't.  I don't follow the crowd, I don't believe in technical analysis and I don't put faith in the bullboards - or at the very least, take it with a large grain of salt.

While I don't want to slam anyone here - I have a strongly held belief that 90% of the general public are idiots, so why would I place my financial future in the hands of people I know nothing about?  A better question - why would YOU?

I have a lot of investments deep underwater right now and had the opportunity to sell all of them at a profit earlier this spring.  Why didnt I?  Because I have a long time horizion and believe that when the dust settles - the investment crowds will be piling into the companies I own at which the SP will go through the roof.  I don't want to miss the parade and despite not knowing when it will come - I'm convinced it will come in due time.

I'll give you a prime example - ADM - 10 million oz of gold in the ground.  I bought it when it dropped from $5.50 to $3.50 and had pending news.  It's now at less than $1.50 - is it a bad investment?  Not in my opinion.  And while Wintersun and I disagree on the short term price of VMS - we do agree on NFR, which is down from where we bought it - but still has amazing potential.  When the markets do wake up - you'll want to be part of the game.

A prime example of the copper project is one that was bought earlier this year in South America.  It had a SP of $4 last fall, dropped to $2 and lingered until it was bought by the Chinese when it rocketed to $14 in no time.

As far as VMS - you sound tired of the markets, disappointed, disillusioned and ready to throw in the towel.  Have the fundamentals of the company and their property changed?  Are the reasons you invested in this (or any other company) still there or have circumstances for the company come undone?  If not - why are you disappointed?  Buy more if you can - and if you can't - hold tight and be right.  Trust yourself more than anyone - that way you'll have no one to thank and no one to blame.
