RE: If I wanted to destroy ....

RE: If I wanted to destroy ....Well US has kinda made a big mess of the situation, made it worse. Election politics very much to blame.

But, I said there was still a good case for a move to $10.00 for Merc. next year.  I still have my shares.
China will continue to pull copper demand, in a predictable way. The supply picture is changing though, over the next while. Europe and the US slowdown, that has concern going about demand.

It's India and Russia that are most interesting to the picture, to me.   India is on the verge of breaking out as an economic force. I do not believe they will have quite the explosive growth of China, as they are a much more conservatively managed  country. But they are also very resource deficient and  they are huge.    Russia has enormous infrastructure plans, a trillion worth. As long as oil stays steady, they will be full steam ahead.

Many of the mining executives, esp. in copper feel that India is the key to the supply/demand balance in the coming years. They could drive prices way up, really put pressure on supply.

tThe sensex is up today. Thats some small equities victory this week. Something that isn't down. Amazing.
