Why do they companies have to growth to the point they fail. What if ML just keep mining the deposit over the next 25+ years and started to pay a dividend, would that be unheard of in this modern age.  They could likely spin off a good amount of cash.

I believe that People going forward will not put their money in the market unless they are fairly certain of a return. I listen to Warren Buffet today say people will not be able to make money based on leveraging the same way they have in the past and will be looking for a return based on real money and real capital invested.
