RE: who will buy gold

RE: who will buy goldask yourself only one question right now. if you had 50K in savings would you feel most comfortable with it is cash or gold? currency type doesn't matter. A person should not be holding more cash right now than is required to run their household on a monthly basis. the last place you want it is in some mutual fund, bond or bank.
I think there will be thousands of people that are going to find out at tax time that their pensions have been bacically lost. The boomers that thought they had money will have transfered it into the hands of business elite and inherited the debt banks are so gratiously passing on. of course your broker/fund manager/bank will be telling you to hold on as it will come back. keep in mind his payday is based on keeping you in and if your 70 coming back in 10-15 years could be less than relevant.
Hope you all got a load of Harper reasuring us our banks, housing and pensions are sound because they have been looking after us.  I'm sure his version of a slow down and a recession may differ from ours as he isn't out of a job or lost his pension, YET!  Want to bet that the day after the election things go south in Canada just as the US and Europe. There is no currency, bank, or financial that is exempt from this.  This crisis is world wide and can be hidden for a short term but will be a disaster long run.
Buy gold and its sources. It may be in the crapper a bit over the next few weeks but in the long run its the only way to preserve some of your savings, assuming you have any left. remember until these guys have finished bleeding you dry they will make every effort to discredit gold and things gold in order to scare you away from it.
