You missed a very important point.  During Steven Harper's time as Prime Minister, he kept the Banks as the best in the world.  Unlike George Bush (junior) who made a mess of the entire world with the American banking schemes.   If you remember correctly,  it was George Bush (Senior) who had his fingers in the cookie jar with the development of the S & L scandal (Savings and Loan).  Now, I am wondering if Junior had his fingers in the cookie jar with the development of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  By the way, did George name these companies after his dogs? Only after the completion of his term, we may here about the scandals.  A little off topic, but our Lord Black's challenge in the American courts seem insignificant to  what develops in this scandal.

Nevertheless Steve Harper can take a lot of credit for keeping our Banks without corruption.
