rays of light for Poly-Pacific deal?Back in July the company announced a LOI with Poly-Pacific in which: Mr. Randy Hayward, President of Poly-Pacific states, "The Energy Quest gasification technologies are expected to play a key role in the Company's additional goal of reclaiming waste from existing landfill sites and transforming this into power, such as electricity or syngas."
Poly, according to its recent filings on SEDAR has overcome some procedural barriers, having received a very favorable legal ruling by a District Court in the U.S., along with clearing some lingering debts. In that release Poly stated "The Company further wishes to report that it has retained a major environmental engineering firm in the United States as well as additional consultants with expertise in the environment and fiber recycling." Okay, good for them. We may see something positive coming out of the US. Anything that boosts Poly will strengthen its ability to move on the LOI with EQST which they have clearly expressed interest in doing.
Of more immediate concern is the following development in the Asia. Although the breakthrough seems to be occurring in overseas, these funding and revenue opportunities should allow Poly to advance its desire to commercialize EQST's gasification technologies in Ontario. Who knows? Maybe the LOI could be expanded to cover specific projects in China.
"During October, Management of Poly Pacific will be travelling in Asia to expand our business segments and further our ongoing relationships with our Asian partners in addition to pursuing new business ventures that have been presented to the Company. These opportunities include manufacturing, reclaimed fiber processing and becoming involved in leading edge waste management technologies throughout China. The China trip will include meetings with high level civic and provincial politicians to offer solutions to their waste management and
power challenges, visits to numerous manufacturing plants, to assess their capabilities of building these technologies, plus attend fiber processing plants in China. We are very confident that our shareholders will benefit from the wide scope of environmental solutions Poly-Pacific can offer. While we cannot be more specific on the numerous opportunities before the Company, we are sure that our approach to adding assets and revenue to our Company will allow us to fulfill our goal on increasing shareholder value...."
