RE: Perth Mint forced to suspend orders.I came across this info elsewhere - and it further advised that the real price of gold can be determined from a variety of sources, one of which is ebay. I followed the links and found that 1 oz of gold in many forms - coins/bars appear to be trading around 950 last week when gold was low 700s.
I have seen articles indicating physical gold's purchase prices vary upwards as high as $1500 per oz in parts of the world. Apparently coins and small bars has dried up. Cdn banks apparently can only access large bars.
