If you can not sell the shares on the open market you can always sell the shares privately to a non-related friend for a nominal value (best would be the current $.005 trading value). You will need to have a signed agreement to provide you with documentation for CRA if they ask for it.

Just remember to be aware of the "superficial loss rule". That rules states that if an investor, their spouse or a company they control buys back a stock or mutual fund within 30 days of selling it, then a capital loss cannot be claimed for tax purposes.
