Shorts covering...
I'm trying to figure out what you meant by that.  If shorts were covering,  SP would be be bounding upwards.  Shorts showing interest and putting pressure on a stock will cause SP to drop when the rest of the market is up.

Shorts usually like to start shorting a stock when they smell trouble.

Obviously,  if someone has a cell phone link with someone in the field,  they might know something before we do so I have no idea what to think about this action.

Other juniors are also behaving poorly so I wouldn't necessarily read anything into this action at all...
