RE: RE: OPC FUTURE!Stillers: I beg to differ as the return to the Provinical coffers directly increases or decreases with the price of upgraded crude. There will be plenty of heavy oil to go around, and why not have the benefits and management stay in Alberta. Pehaps the building of a mega refinery in the Conklin area to start and expand exponentially across the heavy oil arch in the 3 western Provinces will begin to make more sense. Most trades are already in Fort Mac, and building the Conklin refinery near the twinning of Highway 63 will bring in the workers from the Province. There is still lots to keep the Strathcona Refineries busy for years, and perhaps still build the upgraders such as the Northwest Upgrader near the Access Pipeline tank farm or continue to expand the Shell Scotsford project. With North Peace Energy in Red Earth Creek preparing for start-up, Shell, Murphy and Koch in Seal/Lubicon, there is a need to perhaps even build a mega refinery in the *McLennan area near the proposed Bluesky Project where there are an abundance of tradespeople and skilled workers from the Peace Country.

*Sept 2006- A $1.4 Billion Crude Separator called the Bluesky Project will be constructed in 4 phases to be located 10 km south of McLennan. 2000-3000 people will be required for the construction of the project. Each phase will provide employment at the separator for about 100 people. After the 4th phase is completed, there will be between 300-400 employed. This will have a substantial boost to the local economy and there is plans for a 23 lot subdivision in McLennan for the spring of 2007.
