I guess you knew this, but that was exactly the case. They had 11 M$ more current liabilities than current assets with a 40 million $ note (part of that 11M$ more) coming due in Jan 2009.

So, that shows you that it was a distressed sale and probably good for the buyer. It still provides a data point for valuing New Guinea Gold.
