 The moratorium you mention is already happening.,brought about by the low price of oil. CLL management is to be congratulated for taking decisive action and reducing production and other oil sands producers are starting to do the same.When the economy and price recovers, CLL can and will be quickly  back in full production. If,and that's a big if, Obama intends to take a hard look at the oil sands  because it's "dirty oil", you can be sure that he'll be looking at the mining operations and not the SAGD  method employed by CLL because the  mining  operations are the ones giving oil sands a bad name among some sensitive environmental worrywarts. Besides,Canadian oil represents a fairly high percentage of US imports and Obama is going to think twice before calling for any reduction at all. Finally,since when did any politician carry through on promises made in the heat of an election or for that matter,at any time, and especially one that will result in higher costs to the consumer during a time of recession? Better go back to the drawing board and try to come up with another reason to bash CLL, this one is NFG.
