What is administration?

What is administration? Here's an article about Leed soccer club, but it gives a better idea of what administration is.  Sounds like a good idea for the company.  Gives them time to pay back debt.

What is administration?
If Leeds can't come to a deal with the people they owe money to they could go into administration, which is a way of helping companies that are in danger of going out of business.

Financial experts are appointed to run the club, and they may choose to sell players because it is a good business decision, rather than a football one.

Under administration the people owed money can't force Leeds to hand any over, giving Leeds more time to pay the cash back.
