RE: RE: RE: RE: Judging Olderwisernow's judgment92

RE: RE: RE: RE: Judging Olderwisernow's judgment92I agree, and that is why I keep asking Ricky, or anybody for that matter to clarify in the simplest of terms, what they are saying, after all their analysis and  reasoning. In other words, whether you are viewing a TA indicator, or something else, which stimulates one to buy, sell or hold, say it clearly, if one is making an assertion. I say buy HRG now in this range, to anybody looking for a great speculation on an undervalued, small gold producer. With the view, I might add of looking for a double at least over the next year, and maybe more. NO GUARANTEE of course, anything is possible, and that holds for ALL STOCKS. This an opinion, my opinion, based on looking out at likely scenarios over 2009 and beyond. If I am looking at the charts only, and TA studies, then it would be a mixed message at this particular time. IMO Some are bullish, some neutral and longer term based studies are still bearish. A trader looking at flipping this for a penny or three, will want to know where his entry point is, which is usually lacking in the advice to date. In other words, what is TA worth here, if anything, UNLESS it is clearly stated what it all leads to, which is an entry or exit point. Or as is the case it seems with Ricky, a stand aside, with no entry point clearly stated, and because he claims to not have a position, exit is not a question at this point. Again I say to TA folks: if you want to show that TA works here, state BEFORE it changes from any given signal point, where the entry/exit points are, as otherwise it is just an exercise  of looking at charts and placing meaning, and as is often the case with TA (IMO) a claim of this or that "signal" but after the fact view. Not on a real time basis which is applicable to reality, in terms of trades and has little or no value, from my point of view.  The  point of TA, which I doubt works here on any more than a 50% flip of the coin  sort of way, is to get you in and out with a profit, and/or protect you from big losses. To do that: you need to know what ACTION to take at a point in time, not after the fact.  I can put up endless charts, with all kinds of fancy explanations of what has taken place, and claim that they show in retrospect the moves that followed, but so what?  What people want to know, is what is next. If the TA indicates for any stock, commodity, or currency a turning/entry/exit point, or even an enhanced chance (greater than 50/50 chance) of this, that I can act upon, and reliably so, then it can be used. So here at HRG: buy, sell or hold? I say buy for medium to longer term, and I am not trying to guess whether it trades up or down a couple of cents. TA says? Some studies bullish based on short term movement. Take your pick. But IF HRG moves to much higher price over 2009, it does not matter AT ALL to me, what it does in between, that is the BIG difference between being longer term and trading over very short term, with or without TA or any other methodology. This appears to me to slant in favour of longer term holders, at this point in time, to make money.
